Yoga & Wellness

Moving in Harmony, Robin Korevaar RYT200/RCYT

While recovering from the 2018 Boston Marathon,  I deepened my journey into yoga and completed my RYT200 certification.  I have long been interested in body mechanics as it pertained to my clarinet performance and sporting activities, and studied the Alexander Technique (the principles of which I fold into my yoga instruction).  I practice and teach meditation as well:  it is a cornerstone for my life and work.  While Ashtanga is my home practice, I enjoy teaching a wide variety of classes.

Corporate Yoga

Collaborating with wellness directors and HR departments, I bring yoga to your office to promote focus, efficiency, confidence, and overall wellness in the workplace - without working up a huge sweat!  My programs at Children's Medical Ctr and Catholic Charities are expanding...  How can I serve your office or clientele?

Children's Yoga

Children need to unwind, to explore and express their growing bodies safely, to learn to work and live together, and to center themselves among the demands of school, home, and peer life.  I am certified through Yogees Yoga for Kids to support your child's growth, and designed Summit Climbing Gym's yoga camps.  See above for regular classes.

Birthday parties are a fun way to experience yoga's benefits! ($100/hour, up to 8 kids)

Wellness programming for musicians, athletes, actors, and speakers

My wellness curriculum for Dallas Academy of Music and the Performing Arts supports emerging talent in managing their bodies and minds for peak performance using the modalities above and a variety of performance readiness tools.

Embody Love Movement

The  Embody Love Movement empowers women of all ages (and more recently, men as well) to celebrate their inner beauty and strength,  "commit to kindness, and contribute to meaningful change in the world."  The transformations in thought and action through ELM are subtle yet powerful.  Workshops help participants rewrite myths that hold many of us back from our fullest, most compassionate lives.

I am scheduling ELM workshops for various schools, groups, and community centers!

Additional styles I teach include

  • meditation & pranayama (breathing)
  • yoga for athletes
  • Yin
  • beginners yoga/Yoga 101
  • chair yoga for seniors & the mobility challenged
