Background

A professional clarinetist for over 30 years, I have performed with the Dallas, Fort Worth, Colorado, New Orleans, East Texas, Las Colinas, and Irving symphonies, among others. Currently, I balance my work as 2nd clarinet with the Plano Symphony with freelance work and chamber engagements with the Windsong Trio and Camerata Winds.

I maintain an active private studio, encouraging students of all ages in the joy of making music on the clarinet, recorder, piano and saxophone.  I work well with gifted/talented students as well as those with learning disabilities or on the autism spectrum.  In addition, I teach wellness and early childhood music classes at the Dallas Academy for Music & Performing Arts, and enjoy presenting master classes for schools and festivals in the US and abroad (Afghanistan, Holland, and Japan). It is my privilege to mentor students at the Afghanistan National Institute of Music and in Palestine (via Teach to Learn).

My experiences as a marathoner/triathlete, social worker, and student of the Alexander Technique give added depth to my music instruction.
